20080402: Some more tweaking of the italic vector (ttf) font: The stroke on
the right hand side of lower case "a" made thicker so it's more
consistent with other letters; the metrics have been adjusted
          some more.

20080401: The metrics of the italic ttf font made a lot tighter; this looks
more readable than the simple "slant the fonts and do nothing
          else" version.

20080331: ttf fix: Fonts are now all called "Solstice", and are never called
"DejaVu" (it would seem Linux looks at a different part of the font
than Windows does, just to give people more headaches)

20080330: Rollback: Reverting all fonts to 20080326 form.

Most serifs removed from Solstice-12.bdf font; spacing between
          letters widened.

Updated Tucan (Misc fixed with "m", "w" made wider; "l", "i" made
narrower) font added to "bdf" directory.

New font size: 13 pixel; since the 12-pixel font is notibably
smaller than Verdana at 12-pixel size (This allows us to have
a size closer to Verdana 12, which is a pretty standard font
          size for many web sites)

20080328: Some more work on removing serifs to try and make the font more
readable. I don't think I've succeeded in making something
as reasable as Verdana at 12-pixel size, so I will continue to
          work on it.

20080327: Some serifs removed at 16-pixel size to make it more readable;
A couple of ideas for making the 12-pixel size more readable
          implemented.  One as the pixel bitmap in Solastice-roman.sfd;
the other as a the bdf/Solstice-12.bdf bitmap. I will probably
make the final version closer to bdf/Solstice-12 bitmap.

20080326: Remaining glyphs at 16-pixel size done.

Bugfix: Roman and Italic vector fonts now have the same height
(bold is ever so slightly higher, but it's probably not
          a big deal).

TTF font version updated to version 0.2 for Roman, Bold, and
          Italic fonts.

          Sample updated

20080325: All glyphs at 16-pixel except upper-case accents and "AE" done.

20080323: All glyphs at 12-pixel and 14-pixel size done.

20080322: Italic face pixel project cut back; I'll only draw an italic
face at 12, 14, and 16 pixel sizes.

x-height of 16-pixel italic letters changed from 8 pixels to
9 pixels (the non-italic pixel font has an x-height of 9, so
          this just makes things consistant)

All glyphs at 11 pixel size done; this is the smallest size
          with upper-case accents.

Accents added to all lower-case glyphs at 10 pixel size.

Added Stephen G. Hartke's name to COPYING file.

20080321: Mono and bold vector fonts added (Mono probably will have to
be recalculated; I might only use "i", "l", and "0" from
          Verily; we'll see).

1/4 and 3/4 symbols removed (in MaraIPA, these are actually
symbols that don't exist in Unicode, "l" with line underneath
and upside-down "r" with line underneath)

Some minor touch-up of the 10-pixel size roman bitmap rendering

20080320: 16-pixel bitmap font updated; much more readable. All characters
done at 8, 9, and 10 pixel sizes; all ASCII characters and Spanish
language accented characters done at all pixel sizes.

Italic typeface started (I just grabbed the letters from DejaVu
1.15, after they fixed the TrueType bugs in the italics and
before they started making the italic characters uglier; the only
exception being lower-case "a", which I like with a distinct italic
look to it, and that looks OK after I made the top part of the
stroke a little thicker). So, this is mostly just Oblique.

Lower case letters in 16-pixel Italic rough draft done.
